格拉斯哥大教堂是苏格兰唯一保存其原貌至今的中世纪哥特式教堂，其他的哥特式教堂大多在宗教改革期间被破坏了。这座教堂兴建于公元1136年，如今依然在修建中。巴塞罗那修了100多年还在修的圣家堂跟它比起来就小巫见大巫了。教堂分为教堂区和墓室两层，格拉斯哥的守护神圣芒戈(Saint Mungo)就埋葬在墓室之中。
